A young carer is a child, just like any other. The only difference is that young carers are responsible for the care of at least one member of their family, though they may be as young as 5 years old themselves.

These remarkable young people work incredibly hard to take care of their families, day in and day out, sometimes at great personal cost. That's why MYTIME is working to ensure that every young carer in Dorset receives the recognition and thanks they deserve this Christmas time.

With the support of their local community, MYTIME will be able to host an enormous online Christmas party for the young carers of Dorset, and to provide every young carer in the county with a goodie bag, including a Christmas jumper to wear to the event. It's all about bringing these extraordinary young people together, reducing feelings of isolation and proving to young carers that they are seen and valued by the wider community.
