Moving Together to Grow A Garden For All Seasons

This December, we’re taking on the BTR Liverpool Santa Dash with one goal in mind: to grow something truly special for the people we support and the wider community.

A group of likeminded people - staff, volunteers, families, and people we support are coming together in bright red (and blue) Santa suits to walk, wheel and run through the heart of Liverpool. Every step we take is for our Winter Appeal: A Garden For All Seasons.

For many of the people we support, being outdoors isn’t just enjoyable - it’s essential. The fresh air, the calm, the connection, the chance to learn new skills and take part in meaningful activities all support wellbeing, confidence and independence.

But without accessible pathways, raised planters, ramps, adaptive tools and the right environment, not everyone can take part.

That’s what we want to change.

Our Garden For All Seasons will be a fully accessible outdoor space designed with and for the people we support. A space where someone can plant seeds from their wheelchair, where sensory planting brings comfort and joy, where raised beds and level paths open up possibilities that weren’t there before. A place full of colour, belonging and opportunity - all year round.

By joining the Santa Dash, we’re not just taking on a challenge. We’re celebrating community, championing inclusion, and raising the funds needed to bring this garden to life.
