Our journey started when I was pregnant with identical twin boys and was beyond excited at the prospect of having 2 wonderful, amazing boys to add to our household. However, the universe had completely different plans for us and we unfortunately lost our little Hector at 24 weeks. He was 80% smaller than Otis and had blood flow issues and he was just not meant for earth side.

But we had to stay strong and keep going for Otis who decided he wanted to make an early arrival. I gave birth to him at 31 weeks and we spent 2 months in NICU Plymouth which was a complete whirlwind but also strangely become a very normal place to be.

On day 2 Otis had a brain scan as standard practice and here they found brain bleeds on both sides of his brain which was completely devastating. We were just in shock and couldn't believe we had more bad news on top of everything that happened during the pregnancy! He came home on oxygen and was a whole 7lb 3oz at 2 months old which from 3lb 8oz at birth he was pretty heavy from where he started!

Fast forward to now and Otis is 2 years old and has quadriplegic cerebral palsy. This little dude is super busy, his typical week includes:

* Private physio

* Horse riding

* Chiropractor

* Swimming

* NHS physio (once a month)

He enjoys it all and loves all the attention he receives (who wouldn't) and we just want to keep helping him as best we can so he knows we have done everything we could for him to reach his potential.

Our main goal would be SDR surgery to help Otis loosen his muscle tightness which comes with a huge cost. But even being able to continue horse riding for years to come and him enjoying himself will bring us so much joy.

Love and happiness is what we crave most for Otis and everything else is a bonus.
