OUTRUN POVERTY ❤️
Wigan 10k 2026 – Run With Purpose
📅 Sunday 6th September 2026
This September, we’re taking on the Wigan 10k for something bigger than a finish line.
We’re running to help families facing poverty, homelessness, hunger, and hardship across Wigan and Leigh.
At The Brick, we see every day how the cost-of-living crisis is affecting local people. Parents skipping meals so their children can eat. Individuals facing homelessness with nowhere to turn. Families struggling to heat their homes or afford basic essentials.
That’s why we’re asking you to help us Outrun Poverty.
Every mile we run and every pound raised will help The Brick continue providing:
❤️ Emergency food support
❤️ Advice and crisis services
❤️ Homelessness prevention
❤️ Safe spaces, support and hope for local people in need
For many people, The Brick is more than a charity - it’s a lifeline.
One person we supported told us:
“I came to The Brick at the lowest point in my life. I had no food, no money, and nowhere else to go. They treated me with kindness and dignity when I needed it most.”
Another said:
“Without The Brick, I honestly don’t know where my family would be. They gave us support when we felt completely alone.”
This is why we run.
Not just for medals or finish times — but for people. For families. For hope.
✨ Every mile matters.
✨ Every step helps.
✨ Every effort counts.
Please support our challenge by donating whatever you can. Together, we can make sure nobody in our community faces poverty alone.
Because poverty doesn’t stand a chance when we run together. ❤️
