The People We Support Awards is an opportunity to celebrate individuals who have overcome barriers, achieved personal goals and made remarkable progress throughout the year.

Every award tells a story of courage, growth and success. Whether someone has gained greater independence, developed new skills, secured employment, strengthened relationships, or overcome personal challenges, this event gives them the recognition they deserve in front of family, friends, peers and supporters.

About Us

For the past 50 years, Outward has proudly supported people with learning disabilities, autistic people, older adults and young people at risk across north east London to live more independent and fulfilling lives. Throughout this time, we have helped create opportunities, build confidence and support people to achieve their aspirations while remaining active members of their communities in a society that is too often closed off to people with differing needs.

The People We Support Awards is one of the highlights of our year, bringing together more than 230 people for an afternoon of recognition, pride and celebration. With your support, we can create an unforgettable day that celebrates achievement, promotes inclusion and reminds people just how valued they are.

How You Can Support

A Seat at the Table – £35

Sponsor one guest to attend the Awards Celebration. Your donation will help provide a place at this special event, a traditional English afternoon tea, live musical entertainment, award presentations and recognition, and the opportunity for someone to celebrate their achievements alongside family, friends and peers. For many of the people we support, this event is far more than an awards ceremony—it is a chance to feel valued, recognised and celebrated.

Sponsor a Table – £350

Fund a table for up to ten guests at the Awards Celebration. Your sponsorship will provide a reserved table, a traditional English afternoon tea for all ten guests, access to live entertainment and award presentations, and the opportunity to share this special occasion together. By sponsoring a table, you will help a group of people experience a memorable afternoon of recognition, friendship and celebration while enjoying a traditional high tea in the company of their peers.

Sponsor part of our Decorations – £100

Help us create a welcoming and celebratory atmosphere through venue dressing, table decorations and those special finishing touches that make the event feel extraordinary.

Donate a Raffle Prize – £20+

Our raffle is always a highlight of the event and helps us raise additional funds. We welcome gift vouchers, hampers, experiences, gifts or financial contributions towards raffle prizes.

Event Sponsor – £2,000

Become one of our principal sponsors and help cover the essential costs of delivering the Awards Celebration, including catering, entertainment, awards, accessibility requirements and event delivery.

Venue Sponsor – £4,000

Fund the venue and provide the foundation for the entire event. Your sponsorship will help us secure a safe, accessible and inspiring space where achievements can be recognised and celebrated.

As part of your sponsorship, with your permission, we will publicly thank you and your brand at the awards where local authority commissioners will be in attendance, ⁠post your brand in our social media and on our internal intranet and ⁠post your brand on our website and any other media as part of the “people we support awards news”.
