Story
Welcome to the 1878 Challenge – a unique and exciting initiative uniting individuals from all corners of the Everton Stadium project to come together for a great cause!
As part of this three-month challenge, participants will take on the ambitious task of covering a combined distance of 1,878 km, spread across teams of four. This distance represents the year Everton Football Club was founded, and it’s a nod to the deep-rooted history and community spirit of the club.
Participants come from all parts of the new Everton stadium project, including sub-contractors, contractors, clients, and consultants – working side by side for a shared goal: raising funds and contributing to the fantastic Everton in the Community charity. Not only will each team be running, walking, cycling, or even swimming to hit their goal, but they will also engage in further fundraising and volunteering activities that directly benefit the people in the local area.
Whether through community outreach, fundraising events, or hands-on volunteering, every effort will be dedicated to supporting the charity’s inspiring initiatives, which provide life-changing support to people across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
With your generosity, every step taken and every pound raised will help make a real difference. Thank you for supporting the 1878 Challenge – together, we can make a lasting impact, strengthen our community, and continue the legacy of Everton in the Communities commitment to those in need.
Join us, support our teams, and help raise vital funds for Everton in the Community."
