Story

During this uniquely difficult time, Place2Be is asking for your help to ensure that we can provide mental health support for the children and families who need us most.

Place2Be is the UKs leading provider of school-based children's mental health services. While coronavirus has forced schools to shut to the majority of children in the UK, we know that they need our support now more than ever to cope with the stress and anxiety caused by the radical changes to our everyday lives in response to the crisis. Unsurprisingly, over 90% of our partner schools have told us they still need continuing support from Place2Be during this very challenging time.

We are working tirelessly to ensure that we can continue to be there for children and their families. We are continuing to provide our service in schools which remain open to vulnerable children and the children of key workers. Where schools have had to close, we are delivering our services remotely, where possible through a combination of phone check-ins and various digital solutions aimed at supporting both children, young people and their parents.

Many of our fundraising activities have been cancelled, meaning we need funding now more than ever. We need to raise £10,000 to support our emergency response to the coronavirus crisis, which will enable children to get the mental health support they desperately need. Please support our emergency appeal by giving a gift today.
