The funds raised by the Pagabo Foundation are available to help provide mental health support in the construction industry.

Story

On Thursday 13th June we are walking The Hambleton Hobble which is a strenuous walking route on the western side of the North York Moors National Park. It covers approximately 30 miles (48 km) with over 1,500 meters of ascent.

In the construction sector, mental health and suicide rates are up to 4X higher than the national average. That's not right. We need to take action to build better lives for everyone working in the industry.

Pagabo has a large presence within the sector and it created its own foundation in the hope of uniting our key partners and setting out our own initiatives to tackle these issues head on.

Signposting and funding existing charities is an essential part of what we will do through the Pagabo Foundation. We also hope to ensure financial support is made available to SMEs and other organisations working in the construction industry, providing a platform for greater future support for construction workers.

We hope by raising awareness on this topic we can slowly break down the stigma around mental health within the construction sector.
