We urgently need your help to support our amazing PAHT People, as they face the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our hospitals are under an unprecedented amount of pressure as numbers of patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 have already exceeded the first wave of the pandemic. Throughout the last year, our amazing PAHT People have been on the frontline throughout, with nearly 4,000 clinicians, colleagues, students and volunteers from The Princess Alexandra Hospitals NHS Trust working tirelessly to keep patients safe.
Thanks to generous people, last year, The Princess Alexandra Hospital Charity was able to fund a restful lounge experience, providing complimentary refreshments and snacks seven days a week, allowing for hospital staff to take a break during an extremely busy time. This was a welcome addition to the care available for the people at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and we received many notes of thanks, including:
I havent seen any of my friends and family since the middle of March but whenever we speak, they always ask me about the lounge, as they know how important it is to me each day having something nice to look forward to.
