Thank you for grabbing your fundraising brush so you can Paint the Town Pink and help raise vital funds for our Life-saving, breast screening service. All of the money raised stays within Northern Ireland and is used to help local people and their families affected by a cancer diagnosis.

In partnership with Propertynews and supported by Action Renewables, Paint the Town Pink is our flagship fundraising campaign that runs throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, in October, to raise money for our unique, life-saving breast screening service.

The screening service itself aims to screen 8000 local women per year both at Action Cancer House in Belfast or on our mobile screening unit, The Big Bus.

For ten years Action Cancer has been Painting the Town Pink and raising vital funds for its life-saving, breast screening service.

Did you know...

Paint the Town Pink has been running for 10 years and was created by the Action Cancer Banbridge Fundraising Group back in October 2015 as part of the charity’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign. The idea was conceived by former Group Chair, Anne Hulme, who drew inspiration from the Giro D’italia that had taken place throughout N.Ireland in 2014. At that time, towns across NI literally turned pink along the Giro cycling route. Anne believed that this idea could be adapted in support of breast cancer awareness and ‘Paint the Town Pink’ was born!

Action Cancer's screening service is absolute free to the user but they don't receive any regular government funding and rely on the support and generosity of its fundraisers.
