Story

PAKISTAN FLOODS KILL MORE THAN 1,100 PEOPLE

Heavy rains have resulted in urban and flash floods, landslides, and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOF) across Pakistan, particularly affecting Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Sindh Provinces.

More than 436,000 houses have been completely damaged, around 800 schools (600 in Balochistan alone), were damaged and 57 bridges and 977km of road sections have been affected.

The immediate needs include cooked food, water, emergency shelter and medical aid.
