In August 2024, we spent a week volunteering at the Walk Academy in Nakuru, Kenya, a school that provides free education and two meals per day for the poorest children in the local area, whose parents scavenge at the local dump to make ends meet. Members of our new ASU are attempting to complete the Great River Race to raise much needed funds for the Walk Academy so that they can carry on their amazing work.

It costs approximately £200 per week to feed the circa 400 children twice daily, £35 for a new school desk and chair and just £15 for a full uniform (including shoes) for one of the children.
