MÉRIDA EMERGENCY: Act Now. Food, Water, Warmth, and Medicine are Life-Saving Needs.

On June 24-25, 2025, devastating floods hit Mérida, Venezuela. Rivers like the Chama, Motatán, and Mucujún overflowed, destroying homes and vital infrastructure across 12 municipalities and surrounding states, extending roughly 72 km along both sides of the Pan-American Road that crosses the Venezuelan Andes.

Thousands of families in these Highlands are now isolated, facing severe food shortages, a desperate lack of potable water, freezing night temperatures in temporary homes, and urgent medical needs. This disaster has crippled the páramo region, which provides 90% of Venezuela's vegetables, leaving 10,000 farmers with incalculable losses.

While Mérida's brave people are tirelessly rebuilding, these fundamental needs are critical for survival and recovery. But they cannot do it alone!
