Together We Can Make A Difference

Last year charity supporter Peter Bache organised the Dick Whittington Walk a walk in the footsteps of Dick Whittington from Gloucester to London. In doing so the event raised £62,000 for Prostate Cancer Fund at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and Prostate Cancer UK.

This year he is planning another event which, this time, incorporates his love of rugby. The journey begins at Twickenham, Headquarters of the RFU to Stourbridge Rugby Club finishing in time for the famous May lunch, the largest rugby club lunch outside of London.

Peter was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer at the beginning of February 2017 and was cared for by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham to a stable condition and is now in remission.

"I still have an appetite to give back to the QEHB Charity and now I'd like to also raise money for the RFU's Injured Players Foundation (IPF) who support rugby players with catastrophic injuries. I realise we are asked almost daily for donations towards various causes but I believe we can raise, not only funds but, awareness for these two great charities." Peter Bache
