Chris is 39 years old and has lived in the Gardens and Jacobs Neuro centres for almost 20 years. Like the other 120 residents, Chris has a brain injury which has led to complex problems over the years. Chris and his family love the woodland garden we created but are now struggling to access it because the pathways are in need of repair. It is well known that spending time among trees is therapeutic. For our residents and their families, spending time in the outdoors, listening to the birds and just being together, especially after the pandemic, is important. Some time in a quiet peaceful area is also good for our staff. Caring requires both dedication and hard work. Our staff show that dedication every day and we would like to help them too.
Diana and Sheila plan to take part in the Harlow-Tye Abseil event to raise funds for this project.
