Story
As you can see, our bibic family is absolutely crazy about our furry four legged friends, they even visit us in the office sometimes. We love their waggy tails, their sniffly noses and the pitter patter of their paws. But it gets even better...
Dogs can also play an important role in the social and emotional development of children and young adults with neurological and developmental difficulties. They can also provide unconditional companionship and friendship.
Dogs are hugely important to the owners that love them, so why not let them be the stars of their own show, put those paws to the test and help us raise vital funds to support more families across the UK that desperately need our help. Let your dog be bibic's very own super hero by raising funds that could go towards providing a vital service that can change the lives of so many young people.
We are holding our very own bibic dog walking event to celebrate our love for our canine buddies. the event will be held in Weston as we gather at the boathouse on April 7th 2024 for a 10am walk through the countryside and onto the beach then back to the Boathouse, where both dog and human refreshments are available to purchase. The walk is approximately 3.5 miles long, but can be shortened to suit every dog and their owners needs as we understand that we are all individual. The great news is that if you live further a field, you can still join in the fun as supporters can also sign up and complete their own walk from the comforts of their own area.
bibic is a national charity based in Langport, Somerset. It delivers therapeutic programmes to children and young adults aged 6 months to 25 years. We support individuals with developmental and neurological disabilities and difficulties to achieve their potential and live happy and fulfilling lives. bibic sees them with or without diagnosis. We provide assessments and holistic, bespoke developmental therapy through working with our team of specialist Developmental Therapists.
Our service demand is ever increasing and there are many more families that need our support which is why we are asking every dog and their owner to join us and help to raise funds for bibic.
Each person will be asked to pay a £10 sign up fee or alternatively, there is a family fee of £25 available which includes up to two adults, three children and their dogs.
We encourage every dog that takes part to create, with the help of their owner, a Just giving page, remembering that it's all about them of course!
We also recommend setting a target of £100 pounds to raise as not only will it give you and your supporters an achievable amount to aim for but also hopefully increase your number of donations and of course, help us to raise more funds.
In return, you and your dog will receive your very own fundraising pack full of tips and ideas. You will take part in a fabulously fun day out and of course receive our very own bibic certificate of achievement, not forgetting that every dog and their well deserved paws will gain a bibic token of thanks for taking part in the event.
So what are you waiting for, Join us in the doggy event of the year and help us to support more families who need us!
