Story
Peter Bedford HA works across North East London with people at risk of long term exclusion from society, helping hundreds of people each year build on their strengths and reach their potential. Our beneficiaries are mostly resident in Hackney and Islington. They include people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, learning disabilities, and drug and alcohol misuse. Many are rough sleepers or in precarious accommodation when they come to us, and lack support networks of family and friends.
We provide supported tenancies to those at risk of homelessness, alongside a range of wellbeing, adult learning and employability activities, which are available to both our tenants and to our other participants, the latter of whom live independently but need help to reconnect with society. A pioneer of supported housing, PBHA has been helping marginalised people for over 40 years and has a solid track record of helping people to become more independent.
