Story
**Update**
14 young people took part on the 7th July and completed the 5k event!! A huge congratulations to them all and to the families and staff who took on the challenge with them. Despite the torrential downpours, everyone had a great time and enjoyed other elements the festival had to offer as well, including food, music and dancing!
A huge hank you to everyone who has donated to spur the young people and staff members on! We have added a few photos of the event for you to enjoy!

On the 7th July, a team of autistic young people with complex needs from Prior's Court and staff will be attending Parallel Windsor; a Festival of Inclusivity with challenge events for all ages, health conditions & abilities.
The team is made up of Alfie, Amar, Anton, Daniel, Daniel, Dexter, Ethan, Frankie, Jacob, Joel, Misha, Rudi, Sammy, Sebby and Felix and Prior's Court staff members. Please note, those attending are subject to change depending on how each young person is feeling in the lead up to the event and on the day itself.
Prior's Court exists to transform the lives of autistic young people with complex needs for whom the world can be a confusing and daunting place. A team of 15 young people will be taking part in a 5k run at Parallel Windsor with an autism practitioner and will be cheered on by Prior's Court staff and supporters. Taking part in events outside of Prior's Court can be a difficult experience for autistic young people due to sensory challenges - being in a busy environment such as a festival with lots of people and loud noise will take these young people out of their comfort zone however will also provide a vital experience, will enable them to develop skills which can be used in other community situations and will hopefully be a fun day out! .
The team of staff and young people have decided to take part and fundraise for Prior's Court's fun and recreation appeal which enables young people at Prior's Court to experience the same things as others their age such as summer fairgrounds, fireworks displays and Santa's grotto.
The team have a combined target of £2,000 and would be so grateful if you would consider donating to this team page. The money raised could pay for a bouncy castle at the Prior's Court Summer of Fun or for Christmas presents for all of the young people at Prior's Court. You can read more about this appeal HERE.
