'Peace in A Pod': new green office space @ The Stafford Centre

Mental health charity Support in Mind Scotland is appealing for donations towards a new green office space for its Edinburgh service, The Stafford Centre. This eco-friendly 'Urbanpod' will provide us with much-needed space for 1-to-1 sessions.

Change Mental Health wants to build a future where no one needs to face mental illness alone. We seek to change society by changing attitudes, fighting stigma and influencing government to ensure a better quality of life for those affected by mental illness.

Story

Support in Mind Scotland's Edinburgh service, The Stafford Centre, has been helping people in Edinburgh with their mental health for more than 30 years. We have more than 1,100 visits a month and provide mental health support and a range of activities to some of the most isolated people in our community.

Our building at 103 Broughton Street is vibrant and welcoming, but it is bursting at the seams and we are now seeking to build an 'Urbanpod' in the garden area of the Centre to provide an extra quiet room where we can hold 1-to-1 sessions. We have applied for planning permission and grant funding for a percentage of the costs, but we want to show that we are pro-active and willing to fundraise ourselves, and have set an initial target of £4,000 towards the project. Please help us make this campaign a success.
