Story
Upper Iowa's Strength and Conditioning has gone through several changes over the years. Since Upper Iowa's move up to NCAA Division II prior to the 2005-06 athletic seasons, the weight room space has tripled in size, the use of technology in strength and conditioning continues to grow, a nutrition bar was developed to help student-athletes make the transition from the weight room to the classroom easier, and a full staff consisting of a head coach, an assistant coach and a graduate assistant is in place to work with each and every student-athlete.
Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Matt Vargas, along with Assistant Coach Sean Robbins, have put together a list of needs below. Your donation to Strength and Conditioning will allow the staff to continue the progress and strides that our student-athletes have made in the weight room.
Thank you for considering making a gift to Peacock Strength and Conditioning. Your generosity impacts every one of our Peacock student-athletes.
Strength and Conditioning Needs
Velocity-Based Training Units - VBT units are a key piece of technology in our strength and conditioning program. New funding would cover the purchase of velocity-based training units and the software needed to support them. These tools would enhance how we track progress, individualize workouts, and give our athletes immediate feedback during training. Ultimately, this investment would help us continue raising the standard of performance and safety within our program.
