Message from Head Coach Patrick Ritter:

We have been really excited with the progress we’ve seen out of our Peacock program this fall. The young ladies have shown a winning mindset repeatedly, as we have found huge fight in each game, resulting in multiple wins and shutouts. This included a come-from-behind win at Southwest Baptist last weekend with two goals in the final eleven minutes. The 86th-minute goal was the second-latest winning goal we’ve had this season, only slightly behind our game-winner on the road at Southwest Minnesota State earlier in the year. We’re very excited about our final six regular-season games, as it’s an opportunity to show how much we improve every week.

This summer, we had the opportunity to upgrade our locker room to give the team a space to call home for meetings, film sessions, and pregame activities. The returning players have been ecstatic to see the progress, but we still have a way to go. We are hopeful that we can continue to raise funds to support the locker room so that we can add pregame warmup equipment like bands and rollers, gain some items to house healthy nutritional items like a cooler/fridge, as well as items to help hang mirrors to help the young ladies prepare their hair for games.

Upper Iowa has proven to be extremely welcoming and supportive, but our location provides some of the challenges we face. Being in a small, rural campus, we have massive in-person support, but we don’t always have access to other fundraising opportunities. It is really important for us to gain the help of everyone, even if a little bit, to help us provide a top-quality, winning experience that makes being a Peacock so great.

Your support of the Peacock Women’s Soccer program will help us continue to boost our team areas and support the young ladies as they continue to build pride in winning, in a team culture, and in their experience year after year. With the help of our family, friends, and women's soccer alums, we will push our program to new levels.
