Message from Head Coach Heath Grimm:

We can't wait to attack this season and set our sights on a run at the Great Lakes Valley Conference title this season. We couldn't be more excited for not only the great events and duals on our schedule, but the opportunity to host the GLVC Championships in Dorman Memorial Gymnasium in February and the NCAA Division II Championships at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa this March.

We had a strong preseason this fall and are off to a great start with official practices underway and our first action of the year coming up on November 7 in Rochester, Minnesota.

The support given to the Peacock men's wrestling program during the first four Peacock Power 24-Hour Challenges has been unbelievable. We knew that the program had a huge following, but for that support to turn into generous gifts is humbling. The donations went directly to our program's needs, including warm-up jackets, nutritional products we used pre- and post-competition, and better travel experiences for some of our farther opponents.

This year, we are asking for your help again. All UIU men's wrestling program donors will be enrolled in the Takedown Club and earn the perks listed below. Our wrestling program could not maintain its high level of student-athlete experience without your help. We can’t thank you enough for considering making a gift today and becoming a 2026-27 Peacock Takedown Club member.

Men’s Wrestling Needs

• Wrestling room and locker room facility enhancements including signage, wall art, videoboard, and carpeting

• New Singlets for the 2026-27 season and beyond.

• Travel Enhancements to our premier events like the Midwest Classic, the National Duals, and our NCAA Postseason including this year's Regional at Northern State.

• Continued Financial Support of our part-time assistant coaches who work hard to keep Peacock wrestling among the best in the country

• Technology Upgrades to aid in training and competition for our student-athletes

What perks will members of the Takedown Club earn for their generous donations?
