About Peacock Strength and Conditioning:
Upper Iowa's Strength and Conditioning has continued to grow and transform over the years. Since Upper Iowa's move up to NCAA Division II before the 2005-06 athletic season, the weight room space has tripled in size; the use of technology in strength and conditioning continues to grow; a refueling station was developed to help student-athletes make the transition from the weight room to the classroom with proper nutrition; and a full-time staff consisting of a head coach, an assistant coach, and a graduate assistant is in place to work with all 400+ student-athletes.
Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Clayton Denker, along with Assistant Coach Ethan Horner, have put together a list of current needs below. Your donation to Strength and Conditioning will allow the staff to continue the progress and strides that our student-athletes have made in the weight room.
Thank you for your generosity to Peacock Strength and Conditioning. Your gift will impact every one of our Peacock student-athletes.
Strength and Conditioning Needs Explained
Belt Squat Machine: Our mission is to serve the student-athletes in the best way possible – both injured and healthy. This machine will support the rehabilitation and recovery to progress an injured student-athlete back into the sport they love. For others, it will provide an additional way to train, build strength, and improve physical preparedness.
DC Blocks/Glute Ham Roller/Daisy Chains/Resistance Bands: Each of these will open up the arsenal of what training can look like for each sport. An investment into this equipment will allow us to precisely program for what each sport and student-athlete needs to perform at a high level.
