Message from Head Coach Justin Maass:

The cold weather is rolling in, and that can only mean basketball season is on its way! The team has wrapped up our pre-season, and we have started official practice. I am really pleased with the growth of our team over the last 6 weeks. We have 4 new players on our roster, and they have seamlessly fit into our program. The team has embraced a higher level of intensity and competition that we have implemented. It has been great watching our team compete every day as if it were a GLVC tournament game.

Our season starts off with a few exciting challenges with exhibition games at UNI on October 26th and at Iowa State on October 28th. We then officially open up our season with a game against Wayne State and then off to the Wisconsin Dells to compete against Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech. Our group is finally back in Dorman playing Truman State on December 2nd. Nothing beats playing at home! We are excited for the challenge ahead and know that playing high-level competition will make our team better.

Our athletes are really looking forward to the season and for the chance to compete in Peacock jerseys again. We look to build off the initial success we found since joining the GLVC. It is going to be an exciting year!!

Thank you for all your support and your generous donations. It is our top priority to give our athletes a great college experience, and we couldn’t do it without you all. We look forward to seeing everyone in Dorman Gym this winter!!
