Story
Leicester’s young people are facing an uncertain future. Many feel hopeless, shut out of opportunities and struggling to find their path. We refuse to let them be left behind.
Our new space is a vital hub for young people - a place bursting with creativity, opportunity and inspiration to empower the next generation of artists, performers and creators.
Since 1998, Pedestrian has been transforming young lives through creativity providing education, outreach and training to children and young people (up to the age of 25) whom are at risk, often socially excluded, in challenging circumstances and experiencing disadvantages.
We deliver projects such as Half Term Antics - A series of 3-day creative residencies during half term holidays to support deprived and SEND young people as well as a regular evening music session Press Start for emerging musicians - where 100% of young people participating said it boosted their confidence in music.
Every donation, big or small helps us continue our vital work to help young people feel valued, supported and inspired to reach their potential.
