Story
Peel Tower sits high above Greater Manchester with a great vantage point from its perch on Holcombe Hill overlooking the towns of Ramsbottom and Bury.
On Saturday 13th July, a contingent of Bury Hospice fundraisers have set themselves a challenge to abseil down this tower, while at the same time raising much needed money for this worthy cause.
It costs £2.56 million annually to run Bury Hospice and only 25% comes from the NHS.
That is why the Hospice relies on the goodwill of the communities and local businesses of Bury and its surrounding areas for the remainder of the funds needed.
