Help our students take on Ben Nevis and support the Duke of Edinburgh scheme

A group of our inspiring students from Hedley's College and Northern Counties School are taking part in a Duke of Edinburgh expedition to Ben Nevis on 27th April!

For over 70 years the Percy Hedley Foundation has delivered over 30million hours of care, education and support to tens of thousands of disabled people across the North East. With your support we will transform lives and offer every opportunity possible to live their lives to the full.

Story

The Duke of Edinburgh scheme has offered incredible opportunities for our learners and young adults for years to boost their independence skills, resilience and team work. We have seen multiple groups of our students successfully achieve Bronze, Silver and even Gold through the scheme, providing memories and confidence for life.

This time, we want to raise funds to not only support our students on their expedition in Ben Nevis, but also to thank the Duke of Edinburgh for the fantastic opportunities they have provided to our learners.

The Duke of Edinburgh scheme is truly for every young person, regardless of disability. Every young person deserves to feel ambition, pride, and confidence in their abilities - and the Duke of Edinburgh scheme does just that.

Please help us in supporting our inspiring 10 students who will be taking part in this amazing opportunity, and the Duke of Edinburgh scheme that has made it possible.
