As you may already be aware, the people we trust to look after our communities green spaces, our gardens, sports grounds and more can be highly skilled and very capable. But even in less extraordinary times, working in horticulture can be challenging; its physically demanding, can be seasonal and throw up challenges such as financial precarity or injury. It is a vocation and a passion. Therefore, Perennial exists, to provide advice, financial help, specialist information and practical training throughout everyones horticultural careers and into retirement.

The last two years have been challenging for us all and now more people have an appreciation of our green spaces. But for many horticulturalists who are self-employed or small business owners they have felt the impact of lockdown restrictions especially. And as the Winter slowdown in most of the horticultural industries starts to bite into incomes, at Perennial we have seen a jump in requests for our practical, specialist information and advice across our services.
This is because alongside maintaining our three beautiful gardens, we also provide advice and information services including helpline, health and wellbeing app, debt advice, benefits advice, legal advice and physiotherapy and employment support services.
With your help, we can step up to the challenge that Winter always brings, to meet a rising need for our help and develop new ways to offer practical assistance to more people in the challenging times ahead. We rely on the generosity of people like you to continue our work.
