Phil Hoyland is a long-standing supporter of St Johns Centre work through his wife and our chair, Glynis. He lives in Old Trafford and is passionate about swimming you may spot him training at Salford Quays. He swum a number of UK lakes in Lake district and Scotland.

The Triple Crown of long distance swimming.

Phil has already swum the English Chanel and Manhattan Island Marathon Swim. If he completes the Catalina Channel swim, he will achieve the triple crown of long distance swimming. You can find some information about the swim at the links below.

Phil will swim the Catalina Channel which separates Santa Catalina Island from the Southern California mainland in aid of our work with vulnerable people. He'll face 5in1 challenges: distance, currents, hypothermia, nausea, nighttime swim. Not many people can do this and not many do it for charity!

Cheer him on and Donate

Phil will keep us uptodate with his swim progress on this page. Please show your support to Phils amazing endeavour and raise much needed funds for St Johns Centre so we can support families and isolated people in our Old Trafford communities.
