Thrill-seeking participants have volunteered to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower, whilst raising some pennies to support initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of our NHS colleagues.

It is Brighterway's mission to support our colleagues, by supporting their health and wellbeing, they are playing their part in enabling the delivery of high quality care of our patients.

A message from Phillip :-

My name is Phillip Brown I have been for NHS mental health service for the last 5 years I started as a support worker, now I am working as associate practitioner for the crisis team. I am very passionate about promoting good mental health and wellbeing within the trust.

Myself have suffered with mental health problems and still do I am very passionate about creating positive change because I have seen the impact on staff not looking after their physical and mental health wellbeing. I lost my mum 12 years ago due to a drug and Alcohol overdose and it inspired me to work for the NHS to make positive changes to peoples lives.

I want to do the Abseil to show people that you can overcome your fears and its important to push yourself and challenge yourself.

I am looking forward to most is completing the Abseil and creating positive changes within the NHS for staff’s mental health and wellbeing and showing individuals you can achieve your Goals.
