Story
For one special day, pianists of all ages and abilities will take to the keys at St. Paul Old Ford Church filling the space with music and warm, taking part in Play It Forward.
Instead of signing up for a marathon or a skydive, your friend has decided to take on a different kind of challenge, playing the piano as part of a 12-hour relay to raise money for a good cause.
They’re taking part in Play It Forward, a pianothon supporting Globe Community Project, a local charity in Tower Hamlets.
Who are you actually supporting?
By sponsoring your piano-playing friend or family member, you’re donating towards Globe Community Project, supporting their work.
With your tangible support you’re backing their commitment (and their wrists) to turn music into real support for the community.
With your help, Globe Community Project can continue offering transformative, in-depth support for those in our community who need it the most, providing safe spaces where people can breathe, share, connect with other people and heal.
“I don’t have family in this country, so I like communicating with the group. The group helps me build my confidence and improves my English.”
"I used to feel very shy and I never wanted to speak in a group but now I feel good about speaking here. I feel confident about myself."
Your generosity makes these stories possible.
Why your sponsorship matters
Your donation helps Globe Community Project continue offering free wellbeing support for Over 60s, female refugees and their children,, and safe spaces where people can feel welcomed and supported.
So yes, this is your friendly nudge to sponsor your pal, cheer them on, and help us play it forward.
Whether you’re sponsoring a friend, a family member, or a performer whose music you enjoy, your support makes a real difference.
Come along and watch them play - we’d love to meet you!
