4x4 pickup truck for evacuation (43rd brigade)

Simple Ukrainian men of the 43rd brigade defend their wives, daughters and their country. But they have to rely on their own resources to find vehicles, to evacuate the wounded. We are buying a pickup for the 43rd brigade: it will save lives.

Story

Oleh used to be an engineer. After Bucha, he volunteered to defend his country, his wife and his daughter from the terrors of Russian occupation. Like Oleh, other men in the 43rd brigade are regular people: bus drivers, joiners, teachers.

Life in the trenches is no picnic. If someone gets wounded, comrades have to drag them over miles of mud and snow. They can get spotted by a drone and targeted. The injured person may not make it. Of course, they should use a vehicle....We decided that we should help them to save lives.

During the winter, front-line roads are rivers of mud and ice. That's why we are raising £3500 to buy a pickup truck.

Sunflower has lots of experience: we delivered 20 vehicles to the front line, and donated them absolutely for free.

What makes us special? We personally go to the front line area and give the vehicles in the hands of those who need them. We make sure cars are not stolen, and are not sold on the black market.

Why are we supporting Oleh and his comrades from the 43rd brigade? (and not others?) We have supported many regiments, and after this project we will support others. This time we are supporting Oleh: we met him in November near Kupyansk. And we witnessed that they don't have a pickup. So we decided to help.

Please support us.

Our mission is to help the most vulnerable people in Ukraine's frontline villages. Women, children, disabled and older people need our help more than anyone else. We buy food in Ukraine, rather than sending it from the UK. This way we support the local economy. We have a permanent team in Kharkiv, and we cover areas near the north-eastern front.
