Story

By donating here, you will support all three causes which are very close to our hearts.

CAUSE 1: The indigenous people are constantly fighting to protect their ancestral territory. They are the natural guardians of the Forests around them. Indigenous Leader Leticia Yawanawa calls for your help to build a home for elders who need support with the intent to keep their Ancestral Lineages and knowledge alive for future generations. By taking care of the elders, we are immediately aligning ourselves with the future generations who receive their mentorship.

CAUSE 2: The Queros: Planetary Healing Centres trustee Newton Harper is highly involved with the Queros community in Peru, and he is calling for your support to help them continue to care for their people and continue protecting their ancestral lands and lineages from the threats to their natural surroundings brought forth from oil, gold interests and human greed which brings huge grief to many tribes in South America.

CAUSE 3: In one of the poorest areas in the Northeast of Brazil the NGO Apoitcha was established in 2004 to support the local children whose parents struggle in poverty. Most of these children would stay on the streets while their parents go to work to bring bread home. Thanks to NGO Apoitcha, these children have a sanctuary to go during the day, to eat, and be safe from crimes, drugs, and abuse. NGO co-founder Lilian Galvao is requesting our support to help the charity come out of financial crises brought about by the COVID crises last year. The charity needs to carry on so the children can be safe and cared for.

Thank you so much in advance for your support!

About the charity

The Community Foundation for Planetary Healing is a Scottish based volunteer-led charity created in 2003. We work with local volunteers helping people in Scotland who are struggling with their physical, emotional mental and spiritual health by offering holistic support and nature connected activities. We are also working in partnership with indigenous groups in Brazil helping to provide the support that they need to become more self-reliant with small scale farming creating food sovereignty and protecting the Amazon forest. Our approach is unique – we use the holistic ways inspired by indigenous ways of working in the community as tools for health and wellbeing promoting positive changes and empowerment for people. In this process, our volunteers are empowered too. Since 2003, for the last 17 years, we have been working locally creating sustainable health projects supporting people struggling with mental health, carers, people with cancer, children and young people. We actively train and support our volunteers within our organisation; we are proud to be a team of over 52 volunteers taking action towards equality, inclusion, health and wellbeing. Since our establishment, we have created, delivered and supported projects in Scotland, Brazil and recently in India.
