Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) is a charity set up in 1990 by people sick of seeing the ocean they love polluted. We campaign to protect the ocean and all it makes possible, by taking action on the ground that triggers change from the top. We're calling for an end to sewage and plastic pollution.

Story

We're creating the Plastic Free Community network to free where we live from single-use. Together were tackling avoidable single-use plastic, from the beach all the way back to the brands and businesses who create it.

Wherever you live, whether youre on shore or inland, urban or rural, high-tide or high-rise, were uniting communities in the fight against single-use plastics. Its not about removing all plastic from our lives. Its about kicking our addiction to avoidable single-use plastic, and changing the system that produces it.
