⚽ OXSRAD Annual Charity Football Match – July 5th ⚽
We’re back with a bang for another unforgettable day of football, fun, and fundraising – and we need your support!
MATCH SUMMARY:
Saturday’s charity match was a powerful reminder of what community looks like when it comes together.
The day kicked off with smiles, nerves, and a shared sense of purpose. Horizon FC stormed ahead early, taking a 4–3 lead by halftime. But OXSRADIANS FC refused to give in. In a gripping second half, the teams fought goal-for-goal, ending regular time at a nail-biting 6–6. The match went to penalties — with the OXSRADIANS digging deep to take the win.
The day raised vital funds to keep OXSRAD’s life-changing services running — services that so many people rely on to stay active, connected, and supported.
Throughout the match, we received incredible donations — from raffle ticket sales to online support — and by the end of the day, we had raised over £1,000. That brings us just £500 away from our summer campaign target of £5,000.
At OXSRAD, we support disabled people, those recovering from injury, isolated individuals, and anyone who needs a safe, inclusive space to move and connect with others. Each month, we must raise an additional £3,500 on top of our centre income to keep going — and to meet the growing demand we’re now seeing.
This year, we’ve welcomed hundreds of people through our doors and we’re thrilled to soon restart Rebound Therapy, expand our inclusive sessions, and upgrade vital equipment to give everyone the opportunity to thrive.
From every shout on the sideline to every pound donated — this match showed us just how powerful community can be.
Thank you to all the players, volunteers, supporters, and donors who helped make this our biggest and boldest match yet. We couldn’t do it without you.
Let’s keep going — together.
Your donation, big or small, will help us:
