Our Peterborough United Under 21 Team for deaf footballers have qualified for the European Champions League in Warsaw next month. But they have to raise £5,000 to cover the costs of hotels and flights. Any small donation helps.

Story
Peterborough United's Foundation support people with disabilities to reach thier footballing potential. One of our teams, the under-21 deaf futsal team, won the national championship earlier this year and qualified for the European Champions League event in Warsaw in October. They'll have the chance to prove that they are the best in Europe as they take on the top sides from all over the continent. But its not cheap.
Deaf footballers have to travel to show their potential and that increases their costs dramatically. That's why we're asking for your support.
The trip to Warsaw will cost around £5,500 so each player will be expected to raise their portion. Deaf players have to travel further to prove themselves because there are no local opportunities to play at a higher level as there are in mainstream football.
The hotel and transport cost is Euro 4750 and flights are Euro 1500 (£5,500)
And our players have talent too. Some of them already play for the national side, like Rhyan Evans (pictured above) or are involved in the national under-21 programme. They provide excellent role models for younger deaf children.
If you can help donate towards the cost of their hotel accommodation and flights that would help tremendously. We have been fortunate enough to have our training kit supplied by THM and received funding from The Free Kicks Foundation and Cambridgeshire Deaf Association which has helped enormously. We work closely with the Cambridgeshire Deaf Association (CDA) to deliver football projects in the deaf community.

Any donation, no matter the size is welcome. Let's hope we can bring back the European Cup!
