PeriodsMatter (The Homeless Period - Wolverhampton) is a registered charity with the aim of reducing period poverty in Wolverhampton. Originally launched in January 2018, formally constituted in July 2018 and becoming a registered charity in May 2019, we are a volunteer lead organisation that works tirelessly to reduce period poverty, campaigns to raise awareness around menstruation and seeks to remove the stigma that still exists around periods. Each year we collect and distribute 100s of pads, tampons, knickers and toiletry items!

The Covid-19 situation had a disproportional impact on women and girls; with far reaching consequences. One of these consequences, is the inability to afford and access menstrual products, and the current Cost of Living Crisis means this is getting worse.
