#PovertyHurts: Stand With Our Community — Give What You Can
Right now in Northamptonshire, thousands of people are facing impossible choices: heating or eating, rent or food, debt or dignity.
The cost of living crisis hasn’t gone away — in fact, it’s hitting harder than ever in 2025. Charities and community groups on the frontline are overwhelmed, doing everything they can to support people in real distress. But they can't do it alone.
That’s why we’re asking local residents who can to help those who can’t. If enough of us act, we can be the lifeline our neighbours urgently need.
Whether it's £5, £50, or £500 — every donation to our #PovertyHurts appeal will go directly to grassroots organisations helping people in hardship right here in Northamptonshire.
Rachel McGrath, CEO of Northamptonshire Community Foundation, said:
Here in Northamptonshire, we believe in the power of community
Nobody should be alone in crisis. And yet, every week, we hear from local charities overwhelmed by demand. We have a duty to act and together, we can.
We supported our communities through the pandemic. We showed up again in the early days of the cost of living crisis. Now we must dig deep once more to make sure the most vulnerable among us are supported with a helping hand.
Your donation will help provide urgent grants to trusted local charities delivering:
Emergency food and fuel support
Debt advice and crisis intervention
Mental health and wellbeing services
Help for older people and people with disabilities
Community transport and digital access
Homelessness prevention and housing support
Be part of something powerful. Be part of hope. Donate today — because #PovertyHurts, and community heals.
