Story
The Pride of Yorkshire sculpture trail celebrates a momentous milestone for Sheffield Children’s Hospital:150 years of extraordinary impact. Organised by Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, the trail follows in the paw prints of previous sculpture exhibitions – including the Bears and Herd of Sheffield.
Pride of Yorkshire will directly support the transformation of the Emergency Department to be a calm, child-friendly space that reduces fear and anxiety, supports recovery, and enables our teams to deliver the very best emergency care.
Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity are striving to raise £6.3 million – with Pride of Yorkshire alone set to raise £2.8 million – to contribute to this £20 million redevelopment project. These funds will go towards the creation of purpose-built clinical environments, improve patient flow and reduce wait times, enhance privacy and family experiences, and the create spaces for high-quality care for patients with additional needs.
Together, we can turn ambition into action, expanding on a 150- year legacy built by and for the people of Sheffield, of South Yorkshire and beyond, creating healthier futures today, tomorrow and for the next 150 years.
