Pro Corda went into action immediately the national crisis hit to ensure its unique ethos is available to all students online. Our "Create Together Wherever!" emergency programme provides weekly live "Virtual Theatres" that serve the most vulnerable children with special educational needs and disabilities. Meanwhile our core course students can access "Pro Corda@home" with equally specialist resources so that they can continue to develop themselves as creative chamber musicians at home. In addition we have launched radio show style podcasts - "Live at the Abbey" and "Piano Sanctuary" - broadcast from the 14th century Guesten Hall, and serving many isolated and elderly listeners in our communities.
We must now ensure all these resources continue to reach those in need of them through to the summer and beyond. We must also ensure Pro Corda and Leiston Abbey remain strong and ready for the return of our courses. So we're bringing the whole Pro Corda community together at this time. Every penny donated to this fund will ensure all of this, and we will plant a "Quartet of Birch Trees" by the Guesten Hall in the name of everyone who came together for this fund and enabled these crucial things at such a testing time.
Thank you so much from all of us at Pro Corda
