Creating a new legacy for Sandbach School
Project 350 will support transformational projects that enhance learning, wellbeing, opportunity and inclusion. Our priorities include improving sports facilities through new changing rooms, strengthening music and performing arts provision, developing a dedicated CCF area, creating an inspiring SEND garden, and growing our bursary fund to ensure that young people can benefit from our school enrichment programme regardless of financial circumstances.
Together, these projects will create a lasting legacy that reflects our shared values, celebrates 350 years of achievement, and equips future generations with the facilities, opportunities and support they need to thrive.
New sports changing rooms
Sandbach school students compete at regional and national level across a variety of sports including, but not limited to hockey, football, rugby, cricket, netball, cross country, athletics, table tennis and swimming. This success, together with the ongoing popularity of the school is a direct result of the school’s outstanding extra-curricular sports offering. This sees all students encouraged to participate in formal team sport regardless of ability.
After school and at a weekend the school regularly hosts multiple external teams for extra-curricular competition – all of whom require changing facilities. This extra-curricular activity often coincides with community use of our sports facilities such as the all-weather pitch and the Swim School. Existing changing facilities are limited and this campaign will aim to fund a new sports changing block for the school.

Outdoor therapeutic centre
Outdoor therapeutic environments are recognised as effective interventions for many pupils with additional needs by providing alternative opportunities to regulate emotions, develop resilience and build independence.
The proposed development would create a purpose-designed outdoor therapeutic provision consisting of:
• Forest School area
• adapted polytunnel
• horticultural learning area
• sensory planting
• outdoor therapeutic teaching space
• wheelchair-accessible pathways
• accessible outdoor learning opportunities
