Raising money for collapsed toilets and a well at our Gambian preschools

This year the rains in The Gambia have been very heavy. This is good for water supplies, but sadly one of our school's wells has collapsed and another school's toilet has fallen in. We urgently need your help to rebuild these vital utilities.

Story

Project Gambia a small registered Charity (no:1166472).

We support and fund 6 Preschools in The Gambia.

This year the rains have been very heavy. This is good for the future water supplies, but sadly one of our school's wells has collapsed and another school's toilet has fallen in.

This is an urgent situation as they will be without any water or sanitation.

We need to raise £5,000 to rebuild them both.

The well costs £2,000 ( for labour £600, cement £1,000 and metalwork £400)

The toilets are £3,000 ( for labour £500, cement £800, tiles £400, toilets and sink and taps £400, roof tiles £700 and pipes £200)

We urgently need help as the costs of funding our schools already stretch us to the limit.

If you could help in any way we would be hugely grateful.

About the charity

Our charity Project Gambia was formed in response to the low capacity and quality of provision of Preschool education available in the village of Gunjur and its surrounding areas in The Gambia, West Africa.
