In Malawi, limited access to radiology expertise and equipment makes it difficult for healthcare workers to give patients the proper care they desperately need. With growing numbers of patients requiring urgent treatment, the pressure on hospitals that are already deficient in resources is only increasing, putting patients at greater risk.

Together, we will train healthcare professionals in the use of imaging, invest in training materials and portable ultrasound equipment, as well as provide vital access to a remote teleradiology platform, so that newly trained healthcare workers in radiology can benefit from expert second opinions from a worldwide committed network.

With your support we can help change the lives for the patients most in need.

Worldwide Radiology is clearly having an impact and we are very pleased with the work you are doing. - Professor Henry C Mwandumba

Our program is led by paediatric radiologist Dr Karen Chetcuti who works for the College of Medicine of Malawi. Karen shares our vision for Malawi, having worked there previously as a volunteer at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre. Under Karen's local leadership we will be helping her deliver much needed treatment and care, as well as teaching and research.
