Story
In June 2019, Proman will be taking on the Total Warrior challenge, otherwise known as The Great Northern Mud Run. We are taking on this great feat to raise both money and awareness for Transaid, our partner charity who help transform lives in sub-Saharan Africa.
With an incredible amount of mud, 25 punishing obstacles and a 12k run to navigate, the Proman team have been training for months for the big day. It is now your turn to help us, and in turn, help Transaid.
Funds raised from the challenge will go directly to Transaid in order to ensure that they can provide safe and sustainable transport solutions in rural communities.
Proman are committed to the wellbeing and safety of those in the logistics industry, which is why we are so passionate about Transaid. We believe that no individual should go to work with fear of not making it home due to unsafe transport or road systems, and equally, everyone should have access to essential healthcare.
Strengthening rural emergency transport systems is essential in the case of severe illnesses, such as malaria, as it is vital that treatment begins within the first 24 hours of symptom onset. Individuals can be transported by bicycle ambulance (provided by Transaid), which is a safe and effective mode of transport.
Proman's team target of £2,000 could provide 4 bicycle ambulances in an area like Serenje District in Zambia in order to ensure that people are reaching health facilities in time.
