The PSA is a charity that raises money for Muswell Hill Primary School. Our last big project was turning the outside classroom into a home for science, technology, engineering, art and maths (STEAM). Now we need your support again to continue helping the school to update their technology. Currently the Chromebooks are outdated and are in dire need of a replacement in order for the children to continue their education.

Currently, 60 out of 75 are now 5 years old as as such they are no longer able to support the children's learning as productively as they initially were. 30 of them can still be used by the younger children as there is less demand on their operating capacity. 30 can only be used in a functional manner and don't allow children to store their learning as needed. The technological demands of the curriculum has moved on very quickly over the past 5 years. MHPS would love for more children to benefit from using this technology. As the children go through the school they are able to confidently use the chrome books in more sophisticated ways meaning newer versions with access to additional apps become more necessary. An increased number of up-to-date chrome books will enable more children to have the benefits of using these easy ‘tech tools’.

The cost is £250/chromebook and with a year set of 60, the total needed is £15,000.

All proceeds from the summer fair and the auction will go to purchasing the Chromebooks. The new set of Chromebooks will ideally be purchased by the end of the academic year so please do give as little or as much as you would like during the month of June. Every donation, no matter how small helps.
