PTSD999 support UK emergency responders with PTSD, providing support and training. Our mission is to help them rebuild their lives through specialized care, reducing the stigma around mental health, and ensuring no one faces PTSD alone. We offer tailored programs that focus on recovery and resilience, helping individuals navigate their journey to wellness. By fostering a strong, compassionate network, we strive to create an environment where every hero feels valued and understood, ultimately aiding their path to a healthier, fulfilling life.

Light the Lakes has become an established event in the climber's diary where Police Officers, colleagues and friends climb the 214 Wainwright peaks in the Lake District to raise money to support PTSD999

Our Emergency Service Workers are exposed to 600-800 traumatic experiences during their service with 1 in 5 Police Officers currently living with symptoms associated with PTSD.

PTSD not only affects those living with the symptoms or diagnosis it also has a detrimental affect on their families.

By fostering a strong, compassionate network, we strive to create an environment where every hero feels valued and understood, ultimately aiding their path to a healthier, fulfilling life.

Trauma can affect people in many different ways and tragically some people go on to take their own lives.

1 in 5 will have thoughts of Suicide in any given time.

125 people a week take there own lives across the UK.

Thats 17 people per day.

The vision has always been to cover all 214 Wainwright fells with the light of flares in honour of our fallen officers and staff. Knowing that each flare is in honour of someone who has lost their life is an incredibly special and moving experience.
