Following the Church of Scotland's announcement that it intends to sell Lyne Kirk, the charity, Friends of Lyne Kirk, was set up with the aim of buying this beautiful, listed building to preserve it as a place of public worship and historic interest.

The Church of Scotland have given Friends of Lyne Kirk the exclusive opportunity to purchase Lyne Kirk for £25,000, with an entry date of 1 February 2025.

The timing of this offer is very tight, and in order to be successful Friends of Lyne Kirk must raise enough funds to cover both the purchase price and the associated legal costs before the end of January 2025.

At the time of launching this JustGiving appeal, Friends of Lyne Kirk have already raised over £9,000 and require a further £18,500 to secure the purchase.

If this £18,500 target is exceeded, all extra funds raised will be used to preserve and maintain the building.
