Baby goats and housing appeal

Organised by Vana Trust

We are aiming to purchase three baby pygmy goats. They are social animals with inquisitive and fun-loving personalities. Because of their smaller size they are easy to handle and train, providing our trainees with a feeling of well-being and comfort.

Story

Last year one of our old goats died. She had been a favourite amongst our trainees. We are aiming to purchase three baby pygmy goats to build up our stock. They are social animals with inquisitive and fun-loving personalities. Because of their smaller size they are easy to handle and train. They love being petted and will provide our trainees with a feeling of safety, comfort and entertainment.

Pygmy goats need much better housing than what we have available and we need an area of concrete flooring for the winter months. The trainees will be able to keep the housing clean as part of their daily structure, they will be able to walk the goats, train and groom them.

We need to raise £4070.00 to put in a concrete base, large goat house, fencing and the purchase of 3 baby pygmy goats.
