Story

Run up to Christmas and Dive into the New Year for Queensferry Care

This December and January, four QCCC staff members are putting their endurance and courage to the test to raise vital funds for our community services—and they need your support!

The Challenge:

Gillian Smith, QCCC Manager, will take on the Marcothon, running every day in December, including Christmas Day. Each run will be a minimum of three miles or 25 minutes, with no room for missed days!

On New Year’s Day 2026, Aileen Morton, April Robertson, and Lindsey Devin will take part in the Loony Dook, braving the icy waters of the River Forth.

Why It Matters:

QCCC provides life-changing services, including day opportunities at The Haven, befriending programmes, and meal clubs that bring people together. Lindsey is taking the plunge in honour of her dad, David Stewart, who cherished his time at The Haven even during his battle with Alzheimer’s.

Your donation will help QCCC continue to deliver these vital programmes to those who need them most.
