Quay Words is a place-based programme at the historic Exeter Custom House, showcasing literature as a diverse art form and is a central project of Exeter as a UNESCO City of Literature.

Literature Works delivers Quay Words on behalf of Exeter Canal and Quay Trust, the charity developing Exeter Quayside for the benefit of all. It is supported by grant funding from Arts Council England and by the ongoing investment of Exeter Canal and Quay Trust. Working with a strong coalition of Exeter collaborators, we are forging ahead with a range of exciting plans, based on what audiences and participants told us during consultations and the pilot phase. We continue to develop Quay Words as a unique, fun and hands-on programme of literature for the people of Exeter, the region and beyond.
